She earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Science and History and served as a Police Officer for five years before becoming a mother of two. She is married to a builder and has built many new homes within the New River Valley. Settings have included a golf course community, the lake, a townhome and now a farm. Personal
Grace: I'm a Roanoke native but have lived in the New River Valley for most of my life. Our days are filled with work, family and communty activities. My husband, Jim Wimmer, is a lifetime Montgomery County native and works in Blacksburg as a tool and die maker. Our children are scattered around the area from Northern Virginia, Richmond, Roanoke, Charlottesville and Christiansburg. Current hobbies of mine include spending time with the family, especially the grandchildren, traveling, gardening and taking care of Jim and Rex, our dachshund.


Debbie: I grew up in Shawsville and have lived in the Fairlawn area near Radford and now in Christiansburg. Since the children were born I have been involved in many activities and as a Volunteer Coordinator in a Radford City elementary school. This summer we could be seen at the pool, parks and other activities around town. We just completed the construction of our new home, so you can imagine all the little details that still need to be accomplished with new construction. There seems to be a new project every day.
